Membership Information

How do you join our group and become involved in our study of children's dentistry and oral health? What is expected of you as a member, and how will we support you in your career and goals? Find out everything you need to know about being a member, on this page!

As a member, you'll be joining a multi-centre research team in the UK

We're looking in particular for recently qualified dentists as well as trainees who are interested in continuing their research. We welcome those who are enthusiastic about the field of children's oral health, as well as other speciality topics within dentistry. Though we accept members from all over the UK, we are keen to source talented minds from Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester and other areas of the North.

 

We ask that full members have a valid NTN. You can find out our rationale for this below, in addition to other useful pieces of information about becoming a member.

  • Laura Timms - Chair
    Laura is currently a paediatric dentistry trainee in Sheffield. She is also completing her PhD regarding the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride in NHS primary care. She is passionate about CONNECT having previously led multiple CONNECT projects since early in her training, she is currently the Chair and previous secretary. CONNECT has helped Laura develop her skills and collaborations with other researchers across the country and hopes to support others with these opportunities!
